The Valencia City Council will illuminate the facade of the consistory with a video mapping and will place a large Christmas tree in the center of the square. These are two of the novelties for this year’s Christmas illumination.
The Councillor for Resource Management, Lluïsa Notario, has announced that the parameters of other years will be maintained in terms of energy efficiency, decentralization to neighborhoods and towns that increase their Christmas lighting and innovation in terms of the show to serve as a dynamic element of the main commercial axes.
The inauguration will take place on Friday, December 2 at 7 pm. From then on, the Christmas decorations will be lit from Monday to Thursday from 6 pm to 12 pm. From Friday to Sunday and holidays, half an hour more, until half past twelve.
While the City Hall square will have a Christmas tree from the 2nd, the video mapping on the facade will start on December 21 until January 4, with references to the World Design Capital and the Green Capital.
14 neighborhoods of Valencia will have Christmas trees in the form of illuminated cones of 5 meters high. These will be installed in Patraix, Russafa, Campanar, Poblats Marítims, Benimaclet, Ciutat Vella, Rascanya, Sant Marcelí, Extramurs, Benicalap, Quatre Carreres, Olivereta, Nou Moles and Sant Isidre.
In addition, 159 decorative arches will be installed in 33 streets of Valencia which represents an increase of 42 elements compared to last year and 17 Bon Nadal signs in the towns of Valencia and 7 others that will be distributed by the market Algirós, Nazaret, Torrefiel and in the neighborhood of Fuensanta.
The Plaza de la Reina will again host the Nativity Scene and illuminated structures of 3 meters high that simulate almond trees.
