Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) has announced a modification in the Metrovalencia service for next weekend, from 12 to 15 September, in the section that connects València Sud with Torrent and Torrent Avinguda.
The alteration, which will affect lines 1, 2 and 7, is due to accessibility improvement works at Picanya station, one of the facilities affected by the severe floods of last October 29.
The works will begin at 10:50 p.m. on Friday, September 12 and will last until 5:50 a.m. on Monday, September 15.
During this period, the circulation through Picanya station will be carried out by a single track, which will force to reduce the usual frequency of trains in this section.
Trains on lines 1 and 2, the main ones affected.

The main consequence for users is that trains on lines 1 and 2 bound for Torrent and Torrent Avinguda will end their journey at València Sud station.
To continue the journey, passengers will have to change trains at Safranar station for convenience and thus connect with trains on line 7, which will not be affected (Marítim-Torrent Avinguda).
Metrovalencia will maintain normal service on line 1 trains running between Bétera and Castelló, l’Alcúdia or Picassent.
The night service on Friday and Saturday night will remain operational, although conditioned by these same modifications in the affected section.
To minimize the inconvenience, Metrovalencia has announced that it will reinforce the customer service staff in the stations between Safranar and Torrent Avinguda and will increase the information through loudspeakers, screens and teleindicators.
These works are part of the plan to rebuild the network after the dana. Although the service is fully operational, FGV continues to carry out work to complete repairs and improve infrastructure, details in a statement the Generalitat Valenciana.
The objective in Picanya is to adapt the platforms to facilitate access to trains for people with reduced mobility.
Users are advised to consult the schedules and frequencies on the Metrovalencia website, on the official app or on the free Customer Service telephone 900 46 10 46.
