
The artichoke, a delicacy with Designation of Origin in the Valencian Community, has its own festival during the month of January. The town of Benicarló takes advantage of the peak of the season of this vegetable to celebrate the Festa de la Carxofa.
From January 10 to 26, 2025 , several events will take place in this municipality of Castellón to celebrate the harvest and highlight the gastronomic value of this vegetable.
For this year popular tastings of all kinds of dishes have been prepared with the artichoke as the main ingredient, open-air fairs for sale and tasting, pinchos routes throughout Benicarló and closed menus in local restaurants made with carxofes.
