Few stories stick in the memory quite like those of enchanted teapots, magic carpets, and talking snowmen. But behind many of Disney’s stories lies something just as recognizable: the music. And it is precisely those melodies of adventure, reunions, and happy endings that now take center stage in this Disney Candlelight concert in Valencia. A string quartet will perform them live at the Mar Rojo Auditorium at the Oceanogràfic.

Disney movies are much more than just nostalgia. And not just because we can still sing an entire song without looking at the lyrics, but because they’re stories that have made us feel and empathize from a very young age: the value of family in“Coco,” the thrill of first love in“Aladdin,” or the power of eternal love in “Up.”
And that’s exactly what this concert offers:a 60-minute journey through some of Disney’s greatest lovesongs. The moment when Megara sings “Pfft, I don’t like it (well, maybe a little)” in “Hercules”?The kiss with the girl in “The Little Mermaid”? Timeless melodies that we’ll now be able to hear performed by a string quartet by the light of thousands of candles. And in a unique venue: the Mar Rojo Auditorium.
The lights will reflect off the 16-meter aquarium, with tropical fish from the Red Sea swimming in the background. Has Ariel moved to Valencia? It’ll certainly seem that way here.
For just one day, we’ll return to our childhood through music with Candlelight: Disney Love Songs. Sixty minutes of pure emotion will take place at the Mar Rojo Auditorium. Of course, seats are limited, so we recommend booking in advance before they sell out and you miss the chance to hear “Two Little Caterpillars” live (a tragedy, if you ask us).
