The Beihang Valencia Polytechnic Institute (BVPI) will be the first Spanish university center in China and will have a Valencian seal. The UPV has been the promoter of this milestone, which will begin its work next Wednesday, October 15.
Located in Hangzhou, south of Shanghai, the first students are expected to enter this campus in the 2026/2027 academic year.


The center is designed to accommodate up to 2,000 students; its academic offerings will include four bachelor’s degree programs, six master’s degree programs and four doctoral programs.

The inauguration will be attended by the rector of the UPV, José E. Capilla, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, EU and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares, as well as Zhao Changlu, secretary of the Party Committee of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and Esther Gómez, regional secretary of Universities of the Generalitat Valenciana.
