In the Valencian Community, a menu of the day costs on average this 2025 15.20 euros, according to data from Hostelería de España in collaboration with Edenred. However, there are places where prices are still from another era, up to 65% cheaper. And it may sound like a scam, but it is not, to pay 5.50 euros in 2025 for a menu with 14 dishes to choose from, drink, bread and dessert.
The Hogar del Trabajador bar, located at Aviació 48 in Manises, has become a statistical exception in the Valencian hospitality scene by maintaining its full menu of the day for 5.50 euros.
While the sector warns of an unsustainable pressure on margins, this establishment offers a variety superior to that of many locals with market prices: 6 first courses to choose from and 8 seconds, including drink, dessert and bread in the closed price.
The price of this menu of the day pulverizes the regional price floors collected in the study. The communities indicated as the most economical, the Canary Islands (13 euros) and Asturias (13.2 euros), have average prices that are more than double the offer of this Valencian restaurant.
5.50 euros that allow to maintain access to a full meal to workers who, according to the study, are “very sensitive to price increases” and that in other locals in the region face tickets close to 16 euros.
Not only the menu of the day is cheap: lunch costs 4.50 euros and breakfast, 1.60 euros.
At Hogar del trabajador anyone can come to try its menu, although there are also formulas such as a complete lunch with a chivito with egg, drink, coffee and “expense” for 4,50 euros or a breakfast for 1,60 euros.
You can enjoy it in its terrace or in its interior lounge, from Monday to Friday from 6:15 to 19 hours (Saturdays and Sundays, closed). The exact address is Carrer Aviació, 48, Manises, Valencia.
