In the Valencian Community, a daily set menu costs an average of €15.20, according to data from Hostelería de España in collaboration with Edenred in 2025. However, there are places where prices remain from another era, up to 65% cheaper. It may sound like a scam, but it is not, to pay €6 in 2026 for a menu with 14 dishes to choose from, a drink, bread, and dessert.
The Hogar del Trabajador bar, located at 48 Aviació Street in Manises, has become a statistical exception in the Valencian hospitality scene by maintaining its full daily menu for €6.
What’s included in the €6 menu at Hogar del Trabajador
While the sector warns of unsustainable pressure on margins, this establishment offers a greater variety than many other restaurants with market prices: a choice of six first courses and eight second courses, including a drink, dessert, and bread in the fixed price.
The price of this daily menu smashes the regional price floors listed in the study. The communities identified as the most economical, the Canary Islands (€13) and Asturias (€13.2), have average prices that are more than double the offer at this Valencian establishment.
5.50 euros allows workers who, according to the study, are “very sensitive to price increases” and who in other establishments in the region face bills of around 16 euros to continue to have access to a full meal.
Not only is the daily menu inexpensive, but lunch costs €5 and breakfast €1.80.
Anyone can come to Hogar del Trabajador to try its menu, although there are also options such as a full lunch with a goat kid with egg, drink, coffee, and “expenses” for €5 or breakfast for €1.80.
You can enjoy it on the terrace or in the dining room, Monday to Friday from 6:15 a.m. to 7 p.m. (closed Saturdays and Sundays). The exact address is Carrer Aviació, 48, Manises, Valencia.
