The Valencian Regional Government has published the official call for applications for the 2026 Youth Rent Subsidy. This subsidy will allow young people aged 35 or younger to receive up to 250 euros per month for two years to help pay their rent, up to a maximum of 6,000 euros per applicant.
The application period opens next Monday, August 24, and closes on Friday, September 11. This allows a total of 15 business days to apply for the subsidy online through the Generalitat’s website, in person at the Regional Housing Services offices in each province, or by sending an official letter via any post office.
The subsidy is retroactive to January 2025. In other words, if your lease was already in effect at the beginning of last year, you will be paid the amount corresponding to the months you have already lived there. However, if your lease began, for example, in October 2025, the assistance will cover two full years, through September 2027.
Only individuals who meet the requirements detailed in the current guidelines are eligible for this benefit, the main one being the price limit per dwelling or room established for each municipality. In Valencia ( city), the limit is €900 per dwelling and €450 per room, while in Alicante, Castellón de la Plana, and the municipalities affected by the DANA, the limit is €800 per dwelling and €400 per room.
