Citizens of the Valencian Community who file their income tax returns in 2025 from April onwards will be able to recover part of the money invested in their physical and mental well-being.
If you are a member of a gym, belong to a federated club, or participate in organized sports activities, you can now deduct these expenses. Since the previous campaign in 2024, the general rule allows for a 30% refund of the amount invested, with a maximum of €150.
However, support is greater for certain vulnerable or older groups, with higher percentages applied but the same financial limit:
- Over 65s or disabled (>33%): 50% deduction on expenses.
- Over 75 years of age or disability (>65%): 100% deduction (the expense is “free” for tax purposes up to €150).
Up to €100 for your glasses or contact lenses

This year, healthcare expenses that are not usually covered by the public system can be included again. For example, if you live in the Valencian Community, you can recover 30% of your dental visits (non-cosmetic), up to a maximum of €150.
Psychology or psychiatry sessions will be tax deductible at 30%, up to €100, as will the purchase of prescription glasses, contact lenses, and cleaning fluids.
Rare or chronic illnesses will be eligible for aid of up to €100 (or €150 for large or single-parent families).
The Catalan government has set an income limit so that the aid is concentrated on middle and low incomes. To apply, your taxable income must not exceed €32,000 for individual tax returns or €48,000 for joint tax returns.
It is vital that, from now on, you request and keep all invoices and bank payment receipts.
The process is simple to complete on your tax return, but the administration may require these documents to verify that the expense was incurred at authorized centers or by licensed professionals.
