Divided into four parts, each corresponds to a specific story by Poe (and its corresponding cocktail): “The Tell-Tale Heart,” “The Black Cat,” “The Raven,” and “The Masque of the Red Death.” These works have become timeless classics of literature, and now we can enjoy them with a drink in hand—including for those who prefer not to drink alcohol, as mocktail options are available upon request.
Why does Edgar Allan Poe’s universe pair so well with a speakeasy?
The term “speakeasy” refers to the clandestine bars that became famous in the United States during Prohibition. These dimly lit venues with an intimate atmosphere are very reminiscent of the elegant (and dark) setting found in Edgar Allan Poe’s stories.
