Valencia will be the only city in Spain that this 2025 will host the Pokémon GO City Safari, a worldwide event that will take place next weekend, on September 27 and 28.
Niantic, the company responsible for Pokémon GO, has confirmed that Valencia will host the Pokémon GO City Safari for the first time.
For 2 days, thousands of players (or “trainers”) will roam the city in search of new Pokémon, gyms and battles through an augmented reality experience, as usual in this video game.
When and where will the Pokémon GO City Safari take place?
The event will take place in Valencia on September 27 and 28, 2025. One of the big news is the confirmation of three physical points scattered around the city to find special elements of the game: La Harinera, the Saler Shopping Center and the Estación del Nord.
At these locations, trainers will be able to find information, purchase exclusive merchandising and participate in multiple programmed activities.
The La Harinera space will also have exclusive activities, such as these:
- Meet a legend: the professional player Leo Marin, European champion and Pokémon GO World runner-up in 2025, will be present for a meeting with fans. The appointment will be on Saturday 27, from 12:00 to 18:00.
- PvP Tournament: For the most competitive, a tournament of player vs. player battles will be held on Saturday 27 between 17:00 and 19:00.
- Pokémon GO Quiz: A contest to demonstrate your knowledge of the saga on Sunday 28, from 15:00 to 18:00.
For the first time in Spain, City Safari Valencia will premiere the GO Stamp Hunt. This new mechanic will invite players to explore the most emblematic places in the city, collecting virtual stamps in their in-game passport as they discover each corner.
Trainers who get their official ticket now will unlock exclusive benefits during the event:
- Special encounter with Eevee wearing an explorer’s hat.
- Increased chances of catching Shiny Pokémon, extremely rare alternate color versions
- Limited rewards and exclusive event surprises.
