Valencia will once again have a public holiday next Monday, April 28th. According to the regional calendar, the whole Valencian Community celebrates the feast of San Vicente Ferrer, patron saint of the region.
This holiday is always celebrated a week after Easter Monday and is a holiday that is celebrated in Valencia, Alicante and Castellón.
The representation of the miracles of San Vicente Ferrer on stage is the most outstanding act of this holiday, along with the ceremony that takes place in the municipality of Llíria known as “El milagro de la fuente” (The miracle of the fountain).

He is known as “the saint who worked miracles”, and for years he toured the Crown of Aragon, Italy and France, producing wonders in his wake. You can read a little more about his figure in this article, which was not without controversy due to his misogynistic interpretation of the role of women in society.
Not to be confused with San Vicente Mártir, patron saint of the city of Valencia and with a date reserved in the month of January, which is always celebrated on the 22nd of that month.
Valencia will celebrate this Saturday, April 26, 2025, a fireworks display in honor of the saint in front of the Serranos Towers.
