“Requena es Cava” will return next Saturday 14th June to the Albornoz square (popularly known as Plaza de La Villa) with the tasting of the best cavas from the 7 local wineries.
This square will host the event during the whole Saturday afternoon-evening, an evening organized by the Association of Cava Producers of Requena in collaboration with the City Council, València Turisme and the Department of Agriculture, Water, Livestock and Fisheries.

From 7:30 pm, the public will be able to taste the latest creations and classics from Coviñas, Chozas Carrascal, Dominio de la Vega, Hispano+Suizas, Marevia, Pago de Tharsys and Torre Oria. At the event, which will last until 11 pm, tickets will be sold for 15 euros which will include 4 tastings of cava, a gastronomic tasting (tapa) and a crystal glass as a gift.
Requena is the only town in the Valencian Community where it is allowed to produce sparkling wines under the traditional method protected by the Regulatory Council of the DO Cava.
In the gastronomic section, the Clochineros de València collective, the Patapuerca tavern, Amar lo Fresco, Hoya de la Iglesia Cheeses and HollyFood restaurant will offer their gastronomic proposals to pair with these wines.
