The International Fireworks Festival returns to Valencia on the evening of October 8, on the eve of October 9, the Day of the Valencian Community. The Monteolivete Bridge will host two consecutive shows that will bring together Italian and Valencian fireworks traditions in a single night.
Valencia is bringing back a festival that hasn’t been held in the city for three years (since 2023), and it’s doing so in a big way—with two shows leading up to the 20th International Symposium on Fireworks, the international fireworks festival that will take place in the capital of the Turia a few days later, from October 12 to 16.
The evening will kick off at 11:30 p.m. with Pirotecnica San Pio, a family-owned company originally from the province of Foggia in southern Italy. Founded as a small local business, it has built an international reputation over generations that combines craftsmanship, research, and new technologies under the “Made in Italy” label.
At 11:59 p.m., Caballer FX will take the stage with a show designed in the Valencian tradition and created specifically for this occasion. The display will last approximately 17 minutes and will include nearly 2,000 firing sequences, 4,000 pyrotechnic units, and 1,000 kilograms of gunpowder. The audience will be treated to beams of color, palm trees, kites, flashing effects, and Valencian-style fireworks in various sequences and compositions. Caballer FX is one of the most legendary companies in the industry, with roots dating back to 1877, and it remains a family-run business in terms of management, manufacturing, and fireworks displays.
